NeuralOS is built and operated by VortxKode ("VortxKode", "we", "us"), an independent developer based in India, founded by Vamshi Krishna. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the NeuralOS app and related services. Questions or requests: vortxkode@gmail.com.
Account data: if you create an account, your name and email address, or the basic profile (name, email, unique identifier) your provider shares when you sign in with Google or Apple.
Profile data: the details you choose to set — primary role, main target, preferred focus block, daily focus goal, chosen theme, and a profile picture if you add one.
Usage data you create: your focus sessions — start time, duration, whether you completed them, and any note you attach — plus the streaks, brains, achievements, ranks and patterns derived from them.
Support data: if you email us, the contents of your message and your contact details.
Device data: device model, operating system version, app version, and general region inferred from your connection. We use this to keep the app working and fix defects.
Analytics: we use Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to understand how NeuralOS is used in aggregate — for example, which screens and features are opened and how often — so we can improve the app. Firebase Analytics may collect device and app identifiers, general region, and in-app usage events. We do not use this data for advertising, we do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not build cross-app or cross-site tracking profiles about you.
Device sensors and permissions: on supported devices, NeuralOS can use the motion sensor to detect a shake gesture used for a small in-app interaction — this is processed on-device in real time and never stored or transmitted. If you enable reminders, NeuralOS asks permission to show local notifications generated on your device — including the live countdown notification shown while a focus session is running; we do not send push notifications, and never send marketing or spam notifications. If Haptics is on in Settings, button taps and milestones trigger your device's native vibration, which collects no data.
Focus sounds (Neural Atmospheres): the ambient tracks are audio files bundled inside the app and played entirely on your device. Choosing or playing one never accesses your microphone, and no audio is ever recorded or transmitted anywhere — only your selected sound preference is stored, the same way any other setting is.
We use your information to: run the app and show you your own history; compute your DeKoder patterns, Cognitive Indices, ranks and statistics; sync your data across your devices if you sign in; process and validate subscriptions; respond when you contact support; detect and prevent fraud or abuse; keep the service secure; and comply with law. We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising. We do not build profiles about you for third parties.
Where data-protection law such as the EU/UK GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the app and features you ask for); consent (for optional things such as an account, sync, or diagnostics where required — you may withdraw it at any time); legitimate interests (keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and improving the product, balanced against your rights); and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting processing already carried out.
We share data only with the processors needed to operate the service: Google Firebase (authentication, cloud data storage, server-side functions for referrals, and analytics), Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple (account creation and login), RevenueCat (subscription and purchase management), and Google Play Billing / the Apple App Store (payment processing). Each is bound by contract to protect your data and use it only on our instructions. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users or us. If NeuralOS is ever involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, data may transfer as part of that transaction, and we will notify you of any change in control or in how your data is handled.
We are based in India and may use service providers located in other countries. Where your data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable law, including using providers that offer recognised safeguards. By using the service you understand your data may be processed in countries other than your own.
NeuralOS Pro is billed through Google Play Billing (Android) or Apple's In-App Purchase system (iOS). Purchases on both platforms are processed and validated using RevenueCat, a subscription management service. We never see or store your full card or payment details. RevenueCat, Apple, and Google share with us only your subscription and entitlement status so we can unlock Pro features. Your payment information is handled under the relevant app store's own privacy terms.
Your data is stored on your device and, if you sign in, in your private cloud storage with our hosting provider. We keep account and synced data while your account exists. When you delete your account, we erase your synced data from our active systems, and residual copies in encrypted backups age out within 30 days. Data held only on your device is removed when you delete it in-app or uninstall the app. You are responsible for keeping your own exported backup files safe.
We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls that limit who and what can reach it, and provider-side safeguards on our hosting. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials private, and export backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will act promptly and notify you and any regulator where the law requires.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export (portability), delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these yourself at any time: Settings → Backup to access and export, and Settings → Danger Zone to delete. For anything else, email vortxkode@gmail.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
NeuralOS is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it promptly.
You can use NeuralOS without an account. In that mode your data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us — no session content, no profile, nothing. Account features such as sign-in and sync are the only parts that send data off your device, and only when you choose to use them.
We may update this policy as the app evolves or the law changes. If a change is material, we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page is the latest version, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
